KERRY HALPIN
Kerry Halpin is a dance artist based out of Halifax and Toronto. Currently, she is enrolled in Dalhousie's MScOT program. She completed her BFA in Dance Choreography in 2023 at York University, and recently graduated with her BA in Kinesiology. Kerry has completed her CDTA dance exams and is well-versed in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Modern, Acrobatics, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Lyrical and Musical Theatre. Kerry is a board member for Nostos Dance Collectives, and has been working with them since 2017. Kerry is also an Acrobatic Arts Module 1 Certified Teacher. In 2023 she was a member of the York Dance Ensemble led by Susan Lee, where she had the opportunity to perform Stephanie Lake Company's renowned piece Colossus. She is active in the dance community, whether choreographing, dancing, or supporting her peers. Kerry is excited to be involved in this Illusion Dance Arts journey!

Kerry provides training and choreography for IDA's competitive dance team, and runs our Sunday non-competitive classes. Kerry has coordinated our summer day camp programs for the past three years, and has experience working as a day camp leader and inclusion worker at HRM-run summer day camps since 2017.
She loves working with children and is always smiling!
